Immediately beside the Intercoastal waterway until the downtown area is reached. There access to the beach is plentiful as well as eating & drinking facilities. Tourists/Snowbirds during the winter season are quite noticable. I would consider this area to be my hang-out place during the winter season, where restaurants are plentiful, drinks are at reasonable prices (many with entertainment), and when the weather is nice a beach that is quite good for sunbathing, sitting on beach chairs under an umbrella and where you can get up and walk the beach for miles.

This area has more business locations that provide necessities for everyday living while at the same time having quite good restaurants for all. As an example there is a bakery, a real estate office and also "Guppy`s" a restaurant that caters to both tourists and locals.
