John's Comments
Drive took place before and after trip to Fort Laramie. Quite flat but mountains could be seen in the distance that were part of the Rockies. One thing that stood out were the fences/barricades along the highways erected to stop the winter snow from closing the highways.
John`s Recollections
After leaving South Dakota, the land becomes quite flat and in many cases you can see the snow barricades on the sides of the road that help to reduce drifting on the highways themselves. Other than grain there does not appear to be much farming.
