The beginning of windmills dot the landscape as you reach the higher escarpment prior to reaching San Antonio.
John`s Recollections
Not only does Texas have oil wells, but also a great amount of land that is now being developed to provide electricity by windmills. Several areas had windmills in the hundreds with major type hydro lines to southern cities. Consistent winds on the escarpment generate the power to turn these massive turbines.
