Looking back now it is quite easy to see the extent of damages caused by hurricanes, but at this time it was quite scenic as the countryside is quite different from most other areas. Quite easy to see how one could get lost in the countryside in one of the many swamplands.

Louisianna Drive
This drive showed us how destructive nature can be, as hurricanes had proceeded our journey just days before. The area is really rather low lying and many times the road has been raised to allow traffic to continue in the swamp areas.
