Florida:

Other than the hurricanes this is a great place to retire.

One of our favorite locations in Florida, is the Gulf Coast where we have settled for lodging as Snowbirds. This includes the Gulf Shores, Clearwater Beach, Clearwater , Dunedin & Safety Harbor regions, where spring training baseball is readily available. Dunedin seems to have a real small town atmosphere that makes you wish that this is where you were raised.
Florida has been our winter home for the past decade and therefore more specific links (many with video clips) have been provided in other areas like St. Petersburg where great winter attractions are available, or Key West that requires a visit if you are in the area, or Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood area that was our winter stop for the first years in the sun & fun, or Miami where night life never stops.

Check out our video clips for the Space Launch or St. Augustine . Another place you may want to visit is at Daytona where their Bike Week is known nation-wide. Flagler Beach brings you close to the Atlantic Ocean, while at Tarpon Springs has its Sponge Docks and close by is the Brooker Creek Preserve that portrays Florida as it once was.

Not only is Florida home for many of the Baseball Spring Training teams, it has two of their own. Both Miami and the Tampa Bay teams enthrall their fans during the summer months.

Florida for the bicycle enthusiast is well represented and has many throughout the State. Here are two in the Clearwater area, the Pinellas Trail and the Ream Wilson Trail in Clearwater/Safety Harbor.
