West Virginia: One of my favorite States to pass thru. Mountains, valleys and streams are all very picturesque. Many times we have stopped at the New River Gorge and marvelled as to the scenery and the efforts it must have taken to complete the bridge crossing. Back roads will take one to the Green Brier bicycle trail that goes along the major tributary of Green River.
It is the road trips however that are my favorites, be it on Interstate 79 in the North-East section of the State or on the bypass of Highway 19 . Here the scenery is just tremendous, especially when the trees have started to change colors, but care should be taken to keep one`s eyes on the road and pull over to the side, then take out your camera and click away.
